Lifeguard Shortage Affects Pool Hours Aug. 10 Through Labor Day

The HOA Board has been informed by our pool management company, Aquatic Management, that the Waterstone pool hours will be modified starting on Wednesday, August 10, through the remainder of the season. A link to the new hours may be found below:

As you may be aware, there has been an acute shortage of lifeguards, both nationally as well as locally, to staff swimming facilities this season. Now the industry faces the additional challenge of staffing pools as college students return to campus, and high school students begin their fall terms and ancillary activities. That reality limits our lifeguards’ ability to work at our pool. While the beginning of a new school year is a challenge every year, it is more severe this year in facing a record shortage of lifeguards.

This calendar shows the pool schedule for August 1–September 5, 2022 (Labor Day), the final day of the pool season before closure. Hours have been adjusted to account for lifeguard availability. However, hours for weekends and the Labor Day holiday will stay on the current 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. schedule.

The HOA asks for your patience and understanding as it navigates through this difficult time in managing our wonderful pool amenity.
