New Covenants Approved
The Waterstone HOA Board of Directors is pleased to report that the neighborhood has voted to approve new covenants. Here are the details:
The vote took place at the Special Meeting on April 17, 2024, at Founder’s Park.
There were a total of 152 votes cast (one vote allowed per lot) through in-person and proxy voting. The 152 votes represented more than 25% of Waterstone lots.
There were 126 votes cast in favor of the new covenants (83%) and 26 against (17%).
A minimum of two-thirds (66%) votes cast at the meeting and by proxy were needed to pass the measure, which was met.
Our bylaws require a 10% quorum of Waterstone lots, which was met. The voting tally also showed that at least 10% of the individual neighborhoods (Bayhill, Brookfield, Stonewick, and Windpointe) were represented.
The voting was reviewed and confirmed by our legal counsel at Eads Murray & Pugh.
The new covenants have been signed, notarized, and recorded with Hamilton County.
A copy of the new covenants is available here. They may also be accessed through the Frontsteps/KMC Connect portal.
The Board would like to thank everyone who contributed to this effort. This includes the many homeowners who brought forth important considerations to our covenant workshops over the past two years.
A special thanks goes to homeowners who attended the Special Meeting, those who voted by proxy, and those who helped gather proxies so we could meet our quorum. We could not have conducted business without these individual efforts.
Finally, a special thanks goes to board member Erik Mroz, who chaired the covenant revision committee. Erik spent a great many hours ensuring the process of amending and revising our covenants adhered to Waterstone's bylaws and considered the interests of all residents.
If you have any questions concerning the new covenants, please reach out to your neighborhood’s board representatives.
