Volunteer for the Waterstone HOA in 2025
Everyone knows that January is a great time to make New Year’s resolutions. But did you also know it’s a great time to think about volunteering for the HOA?
To serve its members, the Waterstone HOA relies on both volunteers and paid vendors. Volunteers serve a variety of roles, from board members and committee chairs, to subject matter experts and event support.
Volunteers bring a wide range of talents to the HOA, and the time commitment is often flexible. Chances are that if you like living in Waterstone and enjoy spending time with your neighbors, there’s a volunteer position that’s right for you.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
For 2025, the HOA is looking to fill these volunteer roles:
Pool Committee members—The Pool Committee is looking for three volunteers to help with a variety of activities, such as coordinating pool events with the Social Committee, providing swim team support, and addressing facility/maintenance needs. The committee expects to meet monthly from April through September. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Tricia Stieneker at tstieneker@yahoo.com for more information.
Social Committee chairs and members—The HOA is looking for multiple volunteers to serve on the Social Committee. Each year the Social Committee organizes activities for all ages, including summer pool parties, children’s activities, and holiday-themed hoopla. The committee is responsible for managing the annual social budget, with minimal oversight by the HOA board. If you are interested in chairing or co-chairing the Social Committee, or would like to assist as a member, please contact Erik Mroz at emroz@dsvlaw.com.
Communication Committee members—If you are interested in writing articles for the HOA website, posting on social media as an HOA representative, or supporting Stroll magazine, then the Communications Committee is right for you. Committee members also help maintain the HOA website and take pictures for various uses. The committee plans to meet bimonthly (preferably somewhere with coffee) or as needed. If you are interested, please contact Zachary Kulsrud at zkulsrud@yahoo.com.
Landscape Committee members—One of the great features of our community is the beautiful landscaping. If you have experience with landscaping and would like to volunteer on the Landscape Committee, please contact Kent Paulin at kepaulin@hotmail.com for more information.
Miscellaneous opportunities—If you are interested in getting involved with the HOA but don’t know where to start, or if you have an idea about how you can contribute, there’s likely a place for you! Contact HOA Board President Robert Earl at earlrobertk@gmail.com for more information about how to get involved this year.
As the adage goes, “You get out what you put in.” Being a volunteer with the HOA is an investment of time, but the reward is an enriched community experience—and oftentimes lifelong friends. Make 2025 the year you resolve to help make our neighborhood an even better place to live. Become an HOA volunteer today!
