The results are in for this year’s holiday decorating contest! Thanks to everyone who brightened up the neighborhood for all to see. Here are the winners…along with comments from our very own group of special judges!

“It’s a Wonderful Life”: 12254 Pebblepointe Pass

“This house is just really special. Wow! The arches are just beautiful. They make my heart sing! I know what I'm gonna do tomorrow, and the next day, and next year, and the year after that—and that’s drive by this house and enjoy it. Now, teacher says that every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings. Well, teacher also says that every time the holidays come, this home is somethin’ to see! Oh boy!" —George Bailey

“Magical Masterpiece”: 12523 Spring Violet Place

“Now, the picture doesn’t do this one justice. But hey, I’m a delivery guy, and I run a factory—I’m no photographer! Anyway, you gotta go see this house. I’ve seen a lot of them in my time, and when I’m flying through the sky in my sleigh on Christmas Eve, I always pass by this home a few times. The lights hanging from the trees make my night. Ho ho ho! Well done, I say!” —Santa Claus

“O Tannenbaum!”: 12126 Woods Bay Drive

“I drove around this week looking at all the trees decorated in the modern style with my friend Charlie Brown. After we saw them, Charlie told me that this tree here wasn’t the tallest, and it wasn’t the flashiest. It didn’t even have the most lights. But this tree made you feel the holiday spirit the most, and that’s what really mattered. It’s almost like the people who lived there knew—this tree just needed a little love.” —Linus

“Tinsel Town”: Bayhill (Shown here: 12487 Heatherstone Place)

“When I was growing up in the North Pole, I heard stories of the beautiful lights in Waterstone. And the stories are true! When I saw the lights this year, it made me want to sing, sing, sing! Because the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear! Each of the sections had amazing light displays, but overall Bayhill was the best! (Oh, and if you want the world’s best cup of coffee, I know the place in NYC you must go!)” —Buddy the Elf

“Santa Claus Lane”: Windbush Way

“No one has ever put more lights on a house than I have. But…some people on Windbush Way came close to beating my world record. It made me think I should add a few thousand more to my home next year, just to be safe. Heck, I might even move down from Chicago to Waterstone. Do they have auxiliary nuclear power down here?” —Clark Griswold

Reason for the Season: 11767 Pebblepointe Pass

“Look for angels in the windows of this beautifully decorated home in Stonewick!” —Mrs. Claus

Traditionally Elegant: Multiple Winners

“I said I was only going to have one winner for this category, but I changed my mind. I can’t help it, though. My heart grew three sizes today.” —The Grinch

Honorable mention: 12107 Heatherstone Place

“This home shone all the way ‘round, lighting up the street and Lake Waterstone. A delightful mix of bright holiday trees and a nativity scene give a little something for everybody. Perhaps there was even a palm tree? I think there was…and it made this home a must-see. I give it two hoofs up!” —Rudolph
