Seat Opens on Architectural Review Board; Candidates Encouraged to Apply
Attention Waterstone homeowners! There is a unique opportunity to get involved in the HOA and help our community look its best for years to come.
A seat will soon be opening on the Waterstone HOA Architectural Review Board (ARB), and the Waterstone HOA Board of Directors is looking to fill the seat in May. Interested candidates are encouraged to read this article to learn more and apply.
The Open Seat
Being a member of the ARB is great way to be a part of the Waterstone HOA! As a member of the ARB, you’ll have the unique opportunity to serve your fellow homeowners and maintain the quality of our neighborhood.
The new ARB member will fill the seat vacated by Peter Wang, who tendered his resignation effective April 14, 2024. It is only fitting that we take a moment to thank Peter for his service. Peter joined the ARB in 2021 and brought a wealth of experience with him. We are grateful for Peter’s valuable contribution and his willingness to serve!
Serving on the ARB
If you are interested in serving on the ARB, here is more information about its duties and the election process.
The purpose of the ARB is to review homeowners’ proposed changes to their homes’ external appearance, design, and use. The ARB does this in such manner as to preserve and enhance home values, as well as maintain a harmonious relationship among structures, improvements, and the natural vegetation and topography.
Members of the three-person ARB are elected by the Waterstone HOA Board of Directors by majority vote. ARB members are elected to one-year terms that may be renewed annually by majority vote of the Waterstone HOA Board of Directors.
Individuals on the Waterstone HOA Board of Directors may not serve on the ARB.
How to Apply
Any homeowner interested in serving on the ARB should communicate their interest to Joe Winship, KMC Community Association Manager, at jwinship@ekirkpatrick.com. Candidates will be interviewed by the Waterstone HOA Board of Directors at the monthly HOA board meeting in May. In evaluating applicants, it will be helpful to understand what experience each candidate would bring to the ARB.
